More than 600 Grandview C-4 School District staff filed into
the Grandview High School Auditorium Monday morning, for the annual District
Orientation. All district departments including food service,
transportation, maintenance, central office, teachers, and administrators
kicked started the 2015-16 school year with the event themed, “What does GC-4 mean to you?”
Assistant Superintendent Kenny Rodrequez spoke to district
staff about the importance of leadership and encouraged everyone to be great
leaders within their respective roles. Superintendent
Dr. Ralph Teran challenged staff to focus on our district’s commitments to “think critically and creatively.” He used an example of the work done by The
Wright Brothers to drive home that point.
The orientation ceremony was the start of a great day that
involved breakout sessions for every department. It was also a great way to start the 2015-16
school year! Let’s go Bulldogs!
