Grandview High School engineer students visited
HNTB Engineering in downtown KC for some hands on experience in problem
solving.
Students were presented a problem from HNTB
engineers, they have to add 500 students to their high school, and will work
with a team of engineers to come up with what additional structures, parking,
fields, etc. They then presented their solutions and also had the opportunity
to observe positive and negative mock interviews with HNTB’s HR team.
More than 30 students spent the day getting
acquainted with engineers and architects to learn what it’s like to work in their
profession. Teachers say the kids came
back really inspired! The event was sponsored
by Prep-KC.
