On Wednesday, January 14th, the second graders at
Martin City will skype with the author Cindy Aillaud. The Skype will take place
at 10am.
Mrs. Aillaud is now a retired kindergarten teacher from
Alaska. While teaching, she wrote the
book, Recess at 20 below. The book
is nonfiction and it explains how students get ready for recess, what they do
while they are outside and how they even have the occasional moose visit them
on the playground.
The second grade team at Martin City has developed a month
long project based learning unit centered on Mrs. Aillaud book.
