Cheryl Landers from Grandview High
School has been selected to receive the 2014 Teacher of the Year award from
Missouri Educators of Family and Consumer Sciences and Human Services
(MoEFACS). The Teacher of the Year award is given
to a Missouri FACS teacher for making significant contributions to FACS through
curriculum development and/or providing multiple FCCLA opportunities for
students. Landers
has been teaching at Grandview High School since 1994. She has been very active
as an Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) advisor, MoEFACS
member, and community member.
Ryan
Beatty, Assistant Principal at Grandview says of Landers, “She is exceptionally
professional, conscientious, solution driven, analytical, practical, and well
versed in her area of content. She has the capability to lead and the
willingness to accept responsibility.”
