Newest BOE member Greg Griffie
officially joined the team during Thursday night’s board meeting. Griffie was sworn in and appointed to the
seat by board members.
Griffie says he had a desire to
be on the BOE comes from a growing belief that there is ALWAYS something more
that we can do or that we can help with.
“My goal for being on the board
is a simple one: I want to be a part of the bigger picture. I want
to be part of a guarantee that our children and their children in time are
receiving the best education and skill set that we can possibly provide for
them,” said Griffie.
Griffie is from the Southern
Arkansas agricultural region originally and moved to the Grandview area in 2000
with his wife, Laura and son, Donovan. His son graduated through the
Grandview school district. Greg works in the field of ophthalmology.
He will serve until the election in
April 15.
