Congratulations
to Na’Kya Hawkins for winning the Conn West Spelling Bee Monday. Hawkins won by spelling the word ‘iambic’ in
the final rounds. Fourth grader David
Franklin didn’t make it easy for Hawkins.
Franklin took second place. Both were neck and neck for the last nine of
20 rounds!
Hawkins
will go on to the divisional spelling bee to represent Conn West in February. If she makes it five rounds she will go on to
the Jackson County Bee.
