The Grandview High
School Boys Track team received high honors from Grandview Mayor Leonard
Jones at Tuesday night’s Board of Aldermen meeting.
The team was given a
proclamation from Mayor Jones, on behalf of the City, for winning the 2015 Track
and Field State Championship. The girl’s team was also celebrated for its
individual state champions and for placing fourth.
The boys’ team took
home its fifth state title in a row at this year’s state track meet. Both teams
ended up with six individual state champions. One of those state champions includes
Anglerne Annelus. She set two state records in the 100-meter dash and 200-meter
dash.
