J.P. Haley wrote an essay about his dad, Ron Haley, in his GHS english class one day. The essay didn’t
just get him a top grade on the assignment but it was submitted to the National
Center for Fathering. J.P.’s essay was
picked as one of the top essays among more than 2000 entries. During a Royals game this week Ron was
chosen as Kansas City’s Father of the Year.
He was also chosen as a 2015 Buck O’Neil Legacy Seat honoree. Ron has
two sons in the Grandview School District. He is also a Board of Education
member for our district.
